@thebhutanesenewspaper: A new lake has formed on the Sintaphu Chhu after a major landslide last night saw a part of the hill above it come down and block the stream above Taktsimakhang. The video is from above the landslide area. However, the Laya Mangmi Pema Jamtsho who is on the site said there is no need to worry right now as the lake is not very big and water has started flowing out. He, however, said people should be cautious. The NCHM has asked communities downstream to be cautious and remain vigilant already as a more detailed survey is carried out. The previous lake formed due to flood debris from Sintaphu Chhu is on the other stream called Lungu Chhu/Gangchen Tag Chhu also above Taktsimakhang on the other side.
