this may be a hot take but i think the way filipinos are so blindly religious is what's holding us back from progress 🤷🏻♀️for example, i find it absolutely ridiculous that we are one of two countries in the world where divorce isn't legal.

SO BEAUTIFUL! LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! Religion was used by the Spaniards to control people in Latin America and the Philippines. They even created a brown Mama Mary so Mexicans would believe them. So yeah, you're right, girl! My Mexican and Peruvian tour guides also said bowing in church was technically invented to bow to the king.
