@itvnews: The race for Mississippi’s Senate seat has taken longer than most, but why? The Democratic candidate Scott Colom is leading by a tiny margin against Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith. The state does not have an automatic recount process for tight races. Several thousand provisional ballots, which are ballots where there’s a question over the person’s right to vote, will be counted, and the state has until November 10 to resolve these. I saw that Mississippi will count mail in election votes if they come in up to five days after Election Day, so we may not know until Monday or Tuesday
