@ottoman.columnist: During World War I, the relationship between the Ottoman Empire and the Arab world became one of the most complex chapters in history. For centuries, Arab lands were part of the Ottoman state, connected through religion, administration, and shared legacy. But as the war intensified, external pressures and internal tensions began to rise. The Arab Revolt, supported by the British, marked a turning point where alliances shifted and loyalties were tested. Figures like Sharif Hussein played a key role in challenging Ottoman authority, while many other Arabs remained loyal and fought alongside the empire. It wasn’t simply a story of betrayal or unity it was a moment shaped by politics, promises, and survival. History is never black and white… it is written in complexity. ⚔️ #ottoman #History #arabrevolt #explore #ragebait

The ottomans would have fell eventually, maybe slower but would have fell nonetheless. Massive cracks from within the empire. IF the Arabs had stayed and Kemal took power as he did later on, he would have turned Makkah and Madinah into Museums as well. Or tourist attractions instead of a place for pilgrimage.

What our ancestors did was so stupid and wrong, but I understand the need that made them do it. We were treated like strangers in our home, they stopped looking at us like brothers in faith

Deutsche Erklärung habe ich als Video hochgeladen. Es waren Hussein ibn Ali und Lawrence von Arabien, welches den Untergang des osmanischen Reiches zu verschulden haben.
