@nasrakoi: 🍗 Stop saying "I'm cooking the chicken"… tell us HOW you're cooking it! 👨🍳 "Cooking" is correct, but it's very general. Native speakers usually choose a more precise verb. Here are five you can use today: 🫕 I'm boiling the chicken. (in hot water) 🔥 I'm grilling the chicken. (over a flame or on a grill) ♨️ I'm roasting the chicken. (in the oven) 🍳 I'm frying the chicken. (in hot oil) 🔪 I'm chopping the chicken. (cutting it into pieces) ⚠️ Teacher's note: "chopping" is preparation, not a cooking method. You chop the chicken first, then you cook it! ✏️ Grammar tip: we use the present continuous (I'm + verb-ing) for something happening right now: "I'm frying the chicken for dinner." 💬 Your turn! How do you like your chicken? Write one sentence in the comments, e.g. "I like grilled chicken." 📌 Save this video and practise saying each sentence aloud.
