Also, she says “you have the tree”. The word for tree and wood is the same in Swedish, so she uses the word a little incorrectly there as well. She means the wooden pallets. It was very endearing 🥰

That’s the point where I say English isn’t my first language even thought I was born there 🤣

I’m Swedish, been living in USA for six years and there’s no reality where I would remember the word for pallets on live tv 😂

I have traveled by myself since I was 18, and this is so accurate when communicating 😂 It is one of my favorite parts about meeting new people and experiencing a new country and language. It always ends in laughter and smiles and cheers, and on several occasions an invitation to a meal 🖤

Native English speaker and I still do this regularly. Just hang out with me and you’ll feel fine about your ability to come up with words.

it's genuinely so fun to try to figure it out. I love when people forget words and try to explain it. my friend forgot the word "tassels" and she called them "dangly things" and wiggles her fingers like

I will never judge someone whose first language isn't English and they are forgetting words bc the brain power it takes to have to translate...amazing!! 🥰🥰

I’m Swedish and our teacher taught us to describe the word if you forget it, like for example parrot = big red bird that talks. Etc.

American English is my first and only language. 30+ years. Could not think of the word sapling today. I had to say baby tree for someone to help. [Embarrassed][Tears of joy]
