@drabs90: Not every lump near a joint is the same! 👀 A ganglion cyst is a noncancerous, fluid-filled lump that commonly develops near joints or tendons, especially around the wrist and hand. 📍 Common locations include: 1. Dorsal wrist (back of the wrist) – Most common. 2. Finger joints – Near the MCP or PIP joints. 3. Dorsum of the foot – Top of the foot. 4. Volar wrist – Palm side of the wrist. 5. Around the knee – Less common. Clinical pearl: Ganglion cysts may change in size and can sometimes cause pain, tenderness, or restricted movement. Some are completely painless. ⚠️ A new or growing lump should be evaluated by a healthcare professional to confirm the diagnosis.
