@arabnews: Founded in 1978 during the Israeli military's last occupation of southern Lebanon, the orphanage is a refuge for girls who have lost one or both parents, or whose families are too poor to care for them. Inaya and Malak's father, a paramedic, was killed in an Israeli strike on their southern hometown in March, less than two weeks into the war that erupted between Israel and armed group Hezbollah in parallel with US-Israeli strikes on Iran. Both now live at the Tebnin orphanage, where around 40 other girls strive to create an oasis of warmth and normality close to the so-called "Yellow Line" demarcating Israel's occupation zone in southern Lebanon.
This is awful. I cry all the time because the world is so broken. All of humanity deserves to have a full life without fear of war. (Except the ones who bring war)🙏🏼💕 I’m praying for the children
