@thecurrentnepal: The government plans to bring social media news pages, influencers and content creators under the Press Council’s journalistic code of conduct. However, personal and meme pages that do not engage in journalism will remain excluded. Under the proposed rules, content creators and influencers will have to follow journalists’ code of conduct if they engage in journalism, regardless of what they call themselves. Similarly, personal opinions, comments, criticism, comedy and entertainment content will not be considered journalism.
