*NTC/GOVERNMENT, This Is Not Fair To Unemployed Teachers* How can the National Teaching Council (NTC)/GOVERNMENT charge GHC 200.00 for licence renewal from trained teachers who have still not been employed since this government took office? These are teachers who: 1. Completed college, 2. Passed licensure exams, 3. Did national service, 4. And are still sitting at home waiting for posting. They have no salary. They have no income from teaching. Yet they are being asked to pay GHC 200.00 to renew a licence for a job they have not been given the chance to do. We are not against licensing. We understand the need to regulate the profession. But how do you renew a licence for someone who is not working? If government cannot post them, the least it can do is waive this fee until they are employed, or absorb the cost. You cannot keep teachers unemployed and still take money from their pockets. *#PostTrainedTeachersNow* *#WaiveNTCFee*
