@rapidfirepewpew: She has disabled plates. He decided she wasn't disabled enough because of her car. Invisible disabilities are still disabilities. What's the worst "you don't look disabled" comment you've gotten?
Standard Disabled Veteran (DV) license plates in Virginia do not automatically grant the right to park in designated handicap parking spaces.
To park in a handicap space in Virginia, your vehicle must display either Disabled Veteran Parking Placard (the blue hanging placard) or a special DV license plate that features the International Symbol of Access (the wheelchair icon).

Medically retired, 100 percent disabled (had a broken back), but you can't tell from looking at me, and I'm not saying.🍀😎

When I was 29 and my L5-S1 disc was herniated into my spinal canal. i had to ride the scooters at Walmart and park in handicap spots. I was so embarrassed and felt so ashamed. Until I met a vet who explained it like this to me. I appreciate what you do.

I get told that I don't look disabled everyday, but they don't see me at home with heating pads, ice packs and whatever else so I can make it through the day.

Happened to me when I was going through chemotherapy and was using a cane as I had a tumor on my spine. I’m 100% and was 30 years old at the time. A man asked why I had a cane and that handicapped spaces should be reserved for anyone in a wheelchair not me. Semper Fi!

I don’t have plates.. it’s not on my license. I don’t talk about my service.. when I do happen to say something.. “I didn’t know.” How would you… not all wounds are visible..

I get it all the time because I’m in my 40s. It’s like they assume only old people are disabled.

I've osteoarthritis in my hips knees and feet. it's pretty bad for 33. my ex wife's mum noticed I parked in a wider bay and instantly said why don't you leave that for someone who needs it. she doesn't see the pain after that 2 hour walk when I struggle to get back in the car and drive.
