@its_mel_baby40: KATT WILLIAMS DIDN'T JUST TALK ABOUT OWNERSHIP. HE BOUGHT AN ARMY BASE. In 2024, Katt told GQ he purchased a former military base in Alabama to launch his own movie studio. His publicist confirmed the purchase but would not share the price or exact location. Reports point to the old barracks at Fort McClellan in Anniston, which had been listed for $1.5 million. The site has more than 90 acres, 30 concrete buildings, 10 barracks and two gyms. His reason? "It's just not fair to put all that pressure on Tyler Perry. He can only do so much." Tyler Perry turned Atlanta's old Fort McPherson into Tyler Perry Studios. Katt says he is following that example. Should more Black entertainers build their own studios?
