As a dental hygienist, I can tell you that plaque forms when bacteria use food particles and saliva to create a sticky film that clings to your teeth. Over time, it builds up, so I recommend using a toothpaste with TSPP and flossing regularly

this is so satisfying to watch lol. letting plaque build up like that can really mess with your teeth over time tho. I've been using kugig toothpaste for a year and haven't noticed any buildup. my teeth feel super clean

as a dentist, I hear this a lot from patients: "I brush every day, but I still get plaque between my teeth." two ingredients worth knowing about are zinc citrate and hydroxyapatite. zinc citrate can help slow down how fast that sticky layer of plaque builds back up after brushing. hydroxyapatite is the same mineral that makes up most of your enamel. its particles can settle on the tooth surface, and early research suggests they may make it harder for bacteria to stick in the first place.

Try kugig toothpaste. It has hydrated silica and gets your teeth really clean. And make sure you floss, too.
