I used to take my daughter and nephew down to the river or out to the sand dunes because it was free. They still remember those times. They didn’t know I couldn’t afford to take them anywhere

my kids help us scrap part time to earn $ for themselves. I bawled like a baby when all 3 of them pooled the $ they earned to buy an engraved gold necklace for their great-gramma's bday, because they "had never got her a gift before". 😭 and they were SO happy & proud!🥹 lead w/ love and love will follow

Birthdays are out of control. Other kids have multiple events, Mall, shopping, pool party, sleep over, breakfast....What happened to a single celebration, a few gifts if other kids come over with cake and icecream.
