Mistletoe Christmas Snickerdoodle Cookies with White Chocolate 🎄🎅🏼 These cookies taste like Christmas! 🎅 White chocolate, cinnamon & a little mistletoe magic 🤩🤍 Follow for more festive treats ❤️ For the dough: ⬇️ - 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour - 1 tsp baking soda - ½ tsp cream of tartar (optional, for traditional flavor) - ½ tsp salt - 1 tsp ground cinnamon - ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened - ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar - ¼ cup (50 g) brown sugar - 1 large egg - 1 tsp vanilla extract For rolling: ⬇️ - 2 tbsp sugar - 1 tsp cinnamon For the decoration: ⬇️ - 5 oz (150 g) white chocolate (good quality) - 1 tsp coconut oil or butter (optional, for shine) - Green and red sprinkles shaped like mistletoe leaves and berries (or similar festive sprinkles) Instructions: ⬇️ 1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and cinnamon. 2. In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy (about 2–3 minutes). 3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. 4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir until just combined. 5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make it easier to roll. ⸻ 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). 2. Mix the sugar and cinnamon for rolling in a small bowl. 3. Roll the dough into walnut-sized balls, coat them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet (about 2 inches apart). 4. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers look soft. 5. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. ⸻ 1. Melt the white chocolate with the coconut oil (or butter) over a gentle water bath or in the microwave in short bursts. 2. Dip one half of each cooled cookie into the melted white chocolate. 3. While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle on mistletoe-shaped sprinkles (green leaves and red dots for berries). 4. Place on parchment paper and let the chocolate set completely.
