Agree! Gentle ≠ permissive. Kids need firm boundaries but that doesn’t mean there isn’t freedom within that. It’s important to give choices where possible, but some things are not up for debate & shouldn’t be presented as such. We tie everything back to kindness, respect, and safety & it works very well for us. Also hard agree on boredom - it leads to curiosity which leads to creativity!
