Both have their own important purposes and responsibilities, and their independence should be respected to preserve religious harmony, institutional integrity and national stability. The teachings of Gautama Buddha encourage us to overcome ignorance, attachment, hatred and unnecessary conflict through wisdom, compassion and understanding. These are not merely philosophical concepts; they are principles that should be reflected in our daily conduct and relationships. As a Vajrayana Buddhist nation, Bhutan continues to cherish these teachings as an essential part of its spiritual and cultural identity.
