@7.news.watertown: St. Lawrence County legislators have approved a pay raise for themselves in an 8–7 vote, with members of both parties voting on each side. Rank-and-file legislators will receive an additional $3,000 per year starting Jan. 1, with further raises in each of the following three years. Supporters cited the time required to serve, while some opponents said they were uncomfortable voting to raise their own pay.
