I put my keys, glasses, wallet, knife, and gun in the same place every day. When I'm leaving everything is together and I never forget it. My wife hates it. Meanwhile her purse is on the railing, maybe the table, maybe the counter, her keys could be in her purse, on the counter, in the jacket pocket, or down in the couch. Years ago she would move my stuff and we fought about it. After the multiple times she forgot to bring something and me reminding her I don't have that problem because it's all together EXACTLY where I put it she stopped complaining and moving my stuff.

One of my defining childhood memories was my dad needed a rubber mallet once when I was 8. He said “Run to the garage and get the rubber Mallet next to the tire changer.” So I went out and spent 20 minutes looking for that goofy thing. I came back into the house to both my parents laughing, and my dad handed her a $5 bill. He said “come on, let me go show you what a tire changer is.” They had bet after I was gone for 5 minutes I didn’t know what I was looking for. They were right. 😂
