Hi, biology graduate here! Aside from the reasons why pigs are considered haram in Islam, there is also a scientifical reason behind it that connected to what you said in this video. Pigs have a quite similar DNA with us humans, there are a lot of research about this already. Also I heard from my lecturer that there was a test where a man who had a heart issues, got a heart transplant using pig’s heart and the man managed to survive for several days alive, beyond the remaining days predicted by doctors when he had his own heart. This proves that the DNA between humans and pigs are very similar. So that’s why, eating pig’s meat might considered as cannibalism. Correct me if I’m wrong ✌🏻

Have y'all heard stories about humans who turned into monkeys and pigs? the monkey ones are about the people (fishermen) who disobeyed Prophet David's (Daud) word- to not go to the sea and catch the fish on Saturday. the story of the pigs is about a man who takes 2 pigs with him, claiming the pigs are his parents, that they've turned to pigs due to atrocious sins. But I've heard the pig ones are probably not an authentic story as there's no evidence and chains of hadith to that story too so it's considered as weak hadith.

student nurse here, i remember in my 1st year college (anatomy and physiology subj) that my prof told us to get pig heart for our dissection activity, she told us why pig's heart should be the one because pig's heart are very similar to humans heart.

also, pig's brain, lungs, heart, kidneys, intestines and other internal organs look very alike to human's internal organs. med students usually buy pig's heart to practice sutures or any procedures related to cardio since it has similar structure, try to look it up hehe

There have already been studies involving heart transplants from pigs to humans; the results were promising, even though the test patient died within 20 minutes. But science will continue to advance.
