Get a few estimates. So then you will have an idea of what’s wrong with the electric. I know you don’t want your dad going down the steps. But if he has knowledge on figuring out what’s wrong then you can figure out to fix it. A lot of the time heaters can be fixed. And very possibly by you. And in the mean time get the woodstove going. It will be way more cost effective. Then you can focus on how to get the plumbing addressed. Try to find a program. Even you homeowners ins may cover part of it. I know it’s very overwhelming right now. Been there. Done that. Single mom here too. All on me too. You can do this. We’ve seen you do it. Take your night to sit. Process. Have the pity party. It’s ok. Tomorrow. Start.

The furnace could be a super simple issue, is the pilot not lighting? The flame sensor could need to be cleaned, super easy to do with a kitchen scrub pad.

I’m sorry everything is happening at once. We are going through something similar. Every single appliance has stopped working and had to be replaced this year, including my oven this week. Plus thousands upon thousands in other unexpected expenses as a single income family. It’s rough. Praying we are all out of it soon!

Does your area have a buy and sell group ? Maybe post on there. See if high school kids need hours to help do yard work. You can also explain your struggling many people might help out of the goodness of their heart 💜

Time to sell. It’s basic housing that’s failing. Easier said than done. Maybe ask the guy next door if he’ll sell you the new house he’s moving, in exchange for yours. (?) Your anxiety is being heightened by all of this and not enough income coming in. It’s not fair that you’re going through all of this by yourself. Are there low income apartment rentals? Maybe time to move out of state. You have more grit & determination than any woman out there. Hugs & best wishes don’t help your situation. You have so many people who truly care about you. But it’s time to make some hard choices on the house.

Im sorry Morgan…im sure you don’t wanna hear this but with all the electrical things going out like the fridge etc are you sure you don’t have power surging in your house somewhere that’s causing all the problems with the electrical? I think it’s crazy that all these problems keep happening one after another…😳 I’m so so sorry…that’s so not fair…you need an electrician friend…and a plumber friend and possibly a carpenter friend…might as well meet a mechanic while you’re at it too…😏
