You do not have an unrealistic relationship with your father. You have a father that will stop doing whatever it is he is doing to make sure his children are taken care of. He may not have had this for himself when he was younger. He is breaking generational trauma and setting his grandchildren up for wonderful lives.

😭😭 I love this so much ♥️dads are the best 🥰 makes me miss my dad so much 💔 when we used to come out once or twice a year he would take my car and get it a tune up or new tires or whatever it needed, a lot of the time he did it without telling me. And he would give me some cash when were leave to drive home so we didn’t have to stress about the money. It’s been so long since we’ve been out there and I miss him 🥰♥️and when I was an emotional teenager 🤪 he would take me to get ice cream and just drive around and sit and talk until I was feeling better.

I had a good dad, too. I thought he was just a dad. I didn’t realize he was a good dad til I was about 5. He died at 46. I was 26 and my sister was 23. Thirty years ago.

I had an amazing dad also, he passed when I was 10 I wish so much I would have got to experience adulthood with him here.
