Small tip, don’t walk in on edge or worried about it, your dog goes off your energy and if she senses you feel on edge about something that will also make her on edge and put her guard up wondering where and what a threat is xxxxx

As the mum to a text book black Labrador (super friendly, plays really well etc) I always welcome people with reactive dogs talking to us, making friends. Jack seems to think it’s his responsibility to make sure all dogs have the best time on their walkies lol.

I've got friendly (sometimes overly!) dogs and when an owner with a reactive dog tells me to be cautious of theirs I love having the interaction of reassuring them that I don't mind for them to try and approach mine. We've had snaps and barks here and there but usually after establishing the pack order they're really happy to make friends and I'm happy to see the owner feel like they've achieved something without judgement of how their dog reacts ❤️🐾

Fantastic, well done. I was out walking today and suddenly a whippet was charging around us. If I saw it coming I would have either put mine on a lead or changed direction, especially with a whippet and their lack of protection that the hair gives them, but he was great and made so many good decisions.

I walk a dog who is so lovely in a room with 20 other dogs but the moment they’re alone and on a leash they’re so reactive. It’s definitely a unique situation!

My reactive dog does SO much better with a dog that couldn’t give a hoot about her🤣 she loves trying to play with a dog if it’s not interested in her- it makes me laugh every time because if a dog tries playing with her she thinks it’s the WORST thing in the world😅

I would love to find another dog like that! 🥰 My dog just has lead frustration reactivity, she’s super friendly but our neighbourhood dogs are all small and their owners are a little nervous (absolutely understandably so!) of my large dog! We’ll get there, I would love for her to have some more friends!

Ive got a super friendly cockapoo and i try to interact her with every dog we meet if possible! We met a rescue rottie yesterday who was reactive and barking but once we went over he was so calm and just sniffing!! The woman actually thanked me for coming over and making that effort cause alot of people don’t :(
