The GDP has been driven by AI not the productivity of the American worker. Artificial intelligence and related infrastructure investments play a major role in driving current U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) growth, primarily through massive capital expenditures rather than widespread labor productivity gains. AI-linked sectors contributed roughly 44% to U.S. GDP growth on a rolling four-quarter basis. AI-related categories accounted for about 39% of total real GDP growth during peak periods. Nope, the American people are not better off. There are way more homeless people sleeping on the streets and inside their cars than the ones benefiting for AI investments.

Inflation under Biden topped out at 9% during Covid, which was far less than any other country. It was under 3% when he left office. Now inflation is almost 4% and job growth is a small fraction of what is was under Biden. See, the economy improved under Biden during his term. It’s getting worse under Trump

We have the worst job creation performance in 2 decades. We have had a record number of people who have left the work force and stopped looking for a job. They are no longer counted in unemployment. And even with this, unemployment is up from when Trump took over. In the 3.4% gdp growth just reported almost all growth is data centers and even with this we will only be barely above 2% gdp growth in 2026 even though Biden averaged 3.2% for 4 years. And yes we have record gas prices. All time daily, monthly and annual ave record diesel prices, jet fuel prices, heating oil prices and we have all time record monthly and annual ave gas prices. And oil prices in the basement. … lol…. They still are above $100 a barrel. And since trumps disastrous war was destroyed almost 20% of global refining capability in the Persian gulf, gas and diesel prices are now predicted not to come down substantially for a year by the EIA. We just don’t have enough global refining capability regardless of oil availability and price. And while wages ticked up .2% last month we have 3.6% inflation — which is NOWHERE NEAR THE FED TARGET - means workers are falling further behind. Oh and inflation was 2.9% when Trump took over. The economy is still a disaster.
