@kingdomsports74: NFL kicker and CBS sports analyst Jay Feely has lost his political campaign, falling to Democrat Amish Shah in Arizona's U.S. House election. Feely, who played 14 seasons in the NFL with teams including the Cardinals, Jets and Giants, ran as a Republican for Arizona's 1st Congressional District with the endorsement of President Donald Trump. Interestingly, Shah is a former emergency room physician who previously worked as a team doctor for the Jets during Feely's time with the franchise. The former NFL kicker was hoping to replace Republican Congressman David Schweikert, who gave up his seat to pursue the Arizona governorship. Feely's defeat comes during the same election cycle in which former NFL sideline reporter Michele Tafoya also lost her first political campaign in Minnesota. #NFL #JayFeely #Cardinals #Jets #Election2026 (Via AP)
