@misterpjm: We’ll never know when we have that last conversation. And that’s even more reason to treat every conversation like it could be your last. Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Even if it’s hard, even if you know the love or the feelings won’t be reciprocated the way you want them to be. My mom and I had more hard years than good years in my adult life, but I still wish I could have known when that last conversation was going to be. She died almost two years ago and I think regularly about the fact that I don’t remember that conversation. So if you have the opportunity, have the conversation. Call them. Text them. Make it happen. Whoever it is. And if you know what it feels like to not remember that last conversation. Or maybe you wish your last conversation had gone differently. I love you. You’re not alone out there. You’re doing your best with what you’ve got. Keep going. • • • • • #griefandloss #griefandhealing #lifeafterloss #grievingprocess #grieftok
It wasn't a proper conversation as she was in the hospital intensive care unit, on oxygen and in and out of consciousness but I got to say I love her and she said it back 💔😭 she also said, I had cold hand while I was holding her hand.. We both laughed as my hands are always cold... I miss her sooooo much but I see her everywhere and I know she's close by 🤍

The last conversation I had with my mom was me asking her if she wanted icecream for dinner because I could see she was starting to have trouble swallowing and her response was no I'm going have tuna. She never had dinner that night. 😔

The last conversation we had was about Dolly passing. My mom and I used to call each other any time there was a big celebrity death. She passed in October. When Patrick Stewart died, the only thing I could think about was the fact that I couldn't call her to talk about it.

I don't remember the last conversation because she was in hospice for weeks, and in and out of clarity/consciousness for awhile. I'm sometimes randomly transported to those weeks, and my body immediately feels tired. Watching her slip away and being powerless to stop it was the worst thing I've ever had to do. I miss her all the time.

I promised her I’d get it sorted (her mental health) and then that was it. She died of an acute illness 24hrs and gone. My heart is permanently broken.

I remember the last conversation I had with my mom and she got mad at me because I left. I wish I hadn't left enough that would've saved your life because she didn't die until two weeks later.

This! I can’t either - we had 3 weeks from being diagnosed to passing and her decline was so fast, we didn’t really get chance to talk. I can’t remember what we spoke about, but I can’t forget her getting angry because I asked if I’d annoyed her because she wasn’t talking to me. I don’t think she could understand or accept that she was dying and was leaving me earlier than she ever expected. I wish we could have had one last conversation, even if it was over something silly 🥺🥰

Same on the conversation .. then I broke my phone and lost everything, messages, photos .. everything! The last thing she said to me was “love you baby bear!” And then she died 😭💔 I had so many things I needed to say 😞

If im remembering correctly all I said was see you later the irony in that he was in the hospital on life support that night wish I would have told my dad how much he meant to me.

The last real conversation before she was in and out of consciousness I was rushed because of holiday commitments…. I wish more than anything I could go back and know we were nearing the end. 💔
