Peter Rubiro :
But the positive side of all this; the truth that settles every matter and ought to give every believer unwavering confidence, is the reality that no one can curse or cast a spell on whom God has blessed. As Balaam the sorcerer himself declared, "How can I curse whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce whom the Lord has not denounced?" (Numbers 23:8), and again, "There is no enchantment against Jacob, no divination against Israel" (Numbers 23:23).
In the context of witchcraft, sorcery, and the powers of darkness, the believer's confidence is not found in rituals, formulas, or fear-driven warfare, but in the finished work of Jesus Christ. At the cross, Christ "disarmed principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15). Satan and his kingdom have been stripped of their legal authority over those who are in Christ.
Therefore, every believer can stand boldly, knowing that they have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God's beloved Son (Colossians 1:13). The enemy may threaten, accuse, deceive, and intimidate, but he cannot ultimately prevail against the child of God. Our Lord Himself declared, "I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18).
The Christian's confidence is not in their ability to resist darkness, but in Christ's complete victory over it. We do not fight for victory; we fight from victory. The cross was not a partial triumph; it was a total and eternal defeat of Satan's claim over God's people. Therefore, no curse, no spell, no enchantment, no principality, and no power can overturn what God has accomplished in Christ. As Paul triumphantly asks, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31).
