@outnumbered_fox: Some parents are letting their underage teens drink at home, arguing it teaches them responsibility and prepares them for real-world situations. Is this parenting or crossing a line? What do you think?
Mine were very strict. I went buck wild in college and eventually became an alcoholic. I’m not blaming that on them. Just food for thought.

My parent is the same way. But the reason why is because my mom used to be the one that sneaks out and stuff, and she doesn't want me to do that. So as long as you're open, she doesn't care what you do

if he wanted to have a beer with his dad when he's 18, okay. could he have his friends over and they drink at my house? absolutely not.

i mean yeah makes sense. the ovessivebess of hiding it simply bc of the under age law is weird. many countries drink at 16 and thus dont binge. america as a country are such a high binge country

It’s what we did with our kiddos. They were not allowed to leave the house after they popped a top.

Alcohol is so horrible for you. It will ruin your life. If I could go back in time or do it over again I would have said no to alcohol when I was a teenager. Thumbs down 👎 to alcohol and supporters of it.

I don’t believe in this, my ex on the other hand does…unfortunately his family has generations of alcoholics and I have alcoholics in my family which is why I stayed away from it. The fact he thinks letting our children drink at his house underage was even a slightly good idea was/is insane to me. It actually scares the hell out of me because he’s an abusive alcoholic himself 😬.
