The World Health Organization hasn't published a meningitis death toll for Gaza, but says that around one in six people worldwide with bacterial meningitis die from the disease. Bacterial meningitis is of particular concern. Around 1 in 6 people who get this type of meningitis die, and 1 in 5 have severe complications.
