I worked as a letter carrier for the post office for three months in the 80s - just long enough to pass probation - I had never been treated so badly by other carriers and the station manager. He was fired/transferred right after I left and the new manager refused to mail (!) my final paycheck to me. When I went in to pick it up, he begged me to come back. Told him no way!!
