In the mid 90s, it was a very, very big attraction… and we would go every year… it got very corporate, portions got small prices got high. And then just got so overcrowded. Haven’t been in a long time.

you don't really go to The taste of Chicago for the food. like you said the food is overpriced and you only get like one bite. you go to The taste of Chicago for the music and the vibes. this year they had a free Baby Face Concert. he did a whole bunch of songs that he wrote and or produced it was wonderful. and then earlier in the day you had a different sets of local artists. The taste of Chicago is about the music not the food you will be disappointed, sad, angry, even if you go for the food.

no believe it or not we all used to come together and go to The taste of Chicago it ain't the same no more because it's a food truck stand no carnival rides no water slides no free concerts going on it's so different and so unorganized it definitely is just a tour thing now

Omg last time I went in 1994 or 95 I saw Santana perform!! A free concert while eating a big plate of tempura and a chunk of cheesecake. Those were the days! They need to bring back those shows.
