Sprry ily but I just can’t help but feels so weird about the “as a man part” because why cant we as women take the first step and ask to meet up? I get it, if you prefer to be the one who gets asked out. But I think it’s harmful to say that “you as a man should ask” because it paints a picture where it seems that you feel as if we should follow traditional gender roles. I know people hate a pen pal and that's sooooo so so valid! But I will see, once I was talking to a guy off a dating app who lived an hour away from me, for THREE months before we went on a date. Conversations were amazing, and we had a lot of fun texting and sending voice memos, so it just went by fast. Then we finally went on a date, and it was amazing, and he was amazing! So I will say, sometimes a pen pal can lead to a really really good experience. BUT, I so get why people aren't interested in waiting that long, that was just an experience I had 🫶🏼 Good luck divas, it's tough out here!!!

I’ve been wondering if I unmatch too quick too. If I don’t get a reply for 3–5 days I unmatch. I don’t need daily or constant contact, I just like to think if someone’s enjoying the convo, keen to get to know you or meet, then they wouldn’t let momentum slip for more than 24–48hrs or they’d communicate if they’re going away, busy, etc
