Take fucking space, but space without the communication of how long/ending date until reunion, the real reasons, and the actual try for repair afterwards. Without that, “space” is just a word for you emotionally withholding from your partner which is ABUSIVE.

Avoidant here lol, I can only speak for myself but I get so fucking overwhelmed I literally panic and honestly I feel like it’s irresponsible to date as I feel this way or if I date it has to be done with an extreme level of communication but idk it’s taken years of therapy to understand that it’s the closeness that creates the panic

I am very lucky that I have a secure attachment style. I actually prefer to date introverted men. Avoidants don't need space they need to be in control!! They need to sneak around and keep secrets!

Men say I'm avoidant and idk if that's true, it happens with my friends, I notice a pattern over months then I slowly lose respect for the person, I don't bring it up first cuz I don't wanna judge the person over an incident or two. Then as time goes I grow more and more disgusted of them, I try to have a conversation about it and they get defensive then realize the only way to keep me is to admit it and apologize (feels like manipulation to me) so I just grow completely cold. Ask for space and try to forgive them but I can't bring myself to do so so I cut them off.
