I’m tired of people calling hand-drawn animation, claymation, etc BARE MINIMUM. Do you know how hard that is???? Not using AI is the bare minimum. Doing animation and art like this is above and beyond! Don’t disrespect these artists, cheer for their hard work instead.

dior’s is absolutely ai, as an artist i watched through the whole thing and aside from the obvious bits, there’s so many perspective mistakes and disappearing point issues, these would not be just mistakes from an artists it’s not something we’d ever do. Not to mention how suspiciously close it was posted to the prada ad, of which released an in detail making of the day before the ad released, not to mention that the prada ad is under a minute when dior’s is over 7, animation takes way too long for a 7 minute ad to not be suspicious at least

AI has been called out so many times before, do brands really think no one will notice when they do it?? Or maybe they just don't care. Most brands have enough people that buy from them, that losing a few wouldn't be an issue, or they know people won't leave them, because they're so popular.

As an animator, Dior 100% used AI. I have seen a few people try to claim that they’re “just smear frames” but they’re not. Sure smear frames can look weird, but they don’t look like that. Smear frames are still very intentional drawings just like any other frame and if you wanted to make the transitions between the line art and color or between colors in general look so blurry in a smear frame that would be so much work for a worse result. I could write a 20 page essay purely on the difference between smear frames and the AI glitches in the Dior add and it wouldn’t even scratch the surface of all the things that obviously show it to be AI.
