Hu Tao's husband :
Hu Tao ketawa kecil sambil nyari channelTV. "Santai aja. Anggep aja staycation gratis." Suasana awalnya biasa aja, cuma ngobrol random, bahas kejadian tadi, sambil sesekali bercanda. Tapi lama-lama, obrolannya mulai lebih dalem. "Gue penasaran, lo pernah ngerasa capek gak sih sama kehidupan?" tiba-tiba suara Hu Tao terdengar lebih pelan, lebih serius. Gue diem sebentar, terus ngeliat ke langit-langit kamar. "Sering. Tapi ya, mau gimana lagi? Hidup tetep jalan, kan?" Dia ngangguk pelan. "Sama sih," gue akhirnya ngomong pelan. "Malam ini... rasanya beda. Gak tau kenapa, tapi gue nyaman banget." Hu Tao diem sebentar, lalu senyum kecil, "lo sadar gak sih, kita udah kayak lebih dari sekadar temen?" Gue balik senyum. "Iya... gue sadar."

Ten things we treat as normal but are often grief 1. Rage-cleaning your house at 11pm. Not “productivity.” Your nervous system needs somewhere to put the energy it can’t put anywhere else. 2. Forgetting words mid-sentence. People call it “mom brain” or “getting old.” It’s often grief fog — cognition genuinely changes when you’re carrying loss. 3. Being weirdly fine at the funeral, then losing it over a parking ticket three weeks later. Delayed doesn’t mean it didn’t land. It landed somewhere else. 4.Becoming obsessed with a random hobby out of nowhere. Grief likes novelty and newness that is pleasurable rather than pain oriented. 5. Snapping at people who barely did anything. Grief lowers your tolerance for everything. It’s not about the dishes in the sink. 6. Not being able to watch a certain movie, hear a certain song, or drive past a certain building. That’s not being “sensitive.” That’s your body remembering something your brain hasn’t caught up to yet. 7. Overplanning every detail of an unrelated event — a trip, a party, a move. Control over the small stuff when the big stuff was uncontrollable. 8. Feeling closer to strangers than to people who “should” understand you. Sometimes the people who knew what you lost are the hardest to be around, because they remind you of it. 9. Physical symptoms with no diagnosis — chest tightness, exhaustion, stomach issues. Doctors call it stress. It’s often grief living in the body because it had nowhere else to go. 10. Laughing at the worst possible moment. Not disrespect. Not “coping badly.” Sometimes it’s the only release valve left. Grief is so weird. #Grieving #grief #griefjourney #griefsupport #griefandloss
