@itvnews: Henry Nowak’s family call for the Sikh article of faith, kirpan, to be more clearly defined in law following teen’s murder. Mark Nowak, Henry’s father, visited the National Sikh Museum in Derby. At the trial of Henry’s killer, it was argued that the murder weapon was a kirpan. Though many Sikhs disagreed with this characterisation and say it could only be described as an offensive weapon. I've got a better idea ban carrying blades around in general

The Sikh guys I know wear a tiny kirpan on a necklace. It’s about an inch long. It’s jewellery.

Blanket ban on all knives. There’s no reason to carry any knife.

gosh the weapon the killer was carrying was specifically sharpened and way to long and large to be a kirpan, the ‘kirpan’ was a disguise to put a blanket on the murder with a deadly weapon, any real sikh only wears a blunt and relatively small kirpan

The guy who did that to Henry didn't use the Kirpan and people continue to go after it
People need to educate themselves
Also do we ban the Scottish from having their knife when in ceremonial attire?

I think it's insane that even this report isn't clearly showing the differences in the blades, likely because editors know if they show blades too much it will have limited visibility. Social media sensorship is holding new channels back, it's wild.

should be defined by law that it needs to be under a certain length, that the knife must be dull and have not have a pointed edge and to be sheathed at all times.

Nobody should just be allowed to walk around with a weapon, no matter what religious purpose it fills it can and has been used as a weapon, knife crime is our biggest issue and should be tackled in any way possible even if it upsets some people
