Kane is a sweet, gentle boy who deserves the chance to finally receive the medical care he desperately needs. Despite everything he is experiencing, Kane has shown a wonderful personality at the shelter! ❤️ He enjoys pets and attention. ❤️ He knows SIT! ❤️ He approaches people with a curious, gently wagging tail. ❤️ He is easy to leash and take outside. ❤️ He is social with other dogs but prefers a laid-back approach rather than active play. Kane may be startled by loud noises and unfamiliar sounds, but he remains gentle and receptive to people. 🏥 URGENT MEDICAL NEEDS: Kane is experiencing several significant medical conditions: • Widespread skin inflammation and hair loss affecting his neck, sides, abdomen, chest and paws. • Facial fold dermatitis. • Chronic infections in BOTH ears, with polyps in both ear canals. • Bilateral entropion – his eyelids roll inward, causing irritation and discomfort to his eyes. He has started medications and received initial treatment, but this is only the beginning of the care he needs. 💔 WHY WAS KANE SURRENDERED? Kane’s elderly owner is ill with cancer and has difficulty caring for him. Her son works as a truck driver and cannot consistently provide assistance.
