@abc7chicago: Firefighters dressed up as superheroes and surprised patients at a children’s hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, on November 3. Video from the Corpus Christi Fire Department shows some of the firefighters dressed up as Spider-Man and another as an astronaut. The group then abseils down the side of the hospital. The fire department said it was an annual tradition, where some of the firefighters visited the children inside of the hospital and the others surprised them outside of the building. The mission? To “make kids smile,” they said. “Seeing the smiles on the kids faces is what it was all about! We hope all the kids had a great day and get to return home very soon,” they said in the post.
