@fox12oregon: A 36-year-old man pleaded not guilty Thursday to attempted murder, kidnapping, and first-degree sexual abuse charges following an attack on two young sisters in Canby. Prosecutors say Vince Edgar Chavez broke into an apartment on Oct. 28, hit a 12-year-old girl with a hammer, and took her 10-year-old stepsister, who was later found alive inside an Oregon City closet after a 13-hour search. Chavez is being held without bail at the Clackamas County Jail ahead of a preventive detention hearing scheduled for Dec. 1. Read more details in the free FOX 12 Oregon app.
