Baby, be serious. 😭 I’ve seen some BEAUTIFUL job descriptions. Interesting work. Impressive titles. Opportunities to make a bigger impact. Then I get to the salary and suddenly I’m no longer interested. LMAO. Because why am I giving up thousands of dollars a MONTH for more responsibilities, additional credentials, and less flexibility? And don’t get me wrong. Money isn’t everything. I’ll absolutely consider a lower salary for better benefits, more autonomy, flexibility, or a significantly better quality of life. But I’m not taking a pay cut AND increasing my workload just because the position sounds prestigious. A career move should move you FORWARD. Not just make your LinkedIn profile look better. I worked too hard to get here to start paying for opportunities with my own paycheck.
