@complexmusic: #NewJeans’ contracts reportedly allow their label, ADOR, to use AI-generated versions of the members’ voices indefinitely, even after their deals expire in 2029. According to The New York Times, which obtained the agreements, ADOR can license the members’ voices and likenesses for AI voice clones and chatbots without their approval, although the artists must be compensated. The contracts also reportedly include steep early termination penalties, reduced payments for music sold after their deals expire and a lack of standard protections for minors. All five members were between 14 and 17 when they signed. LINK IN BIO for details 🔗 (📸: GETTY)
