@browneyedgurl801: Ana Clara didn’t think twice. It was the early hours of Saturday, October 17, in the Popular neighborhood of Lages, in southern Brazil, when her 12-year-old brother heard a noise in the garage and alerted their parents. According to the Military Police, a 47-year-old man was tampering with a parked car: he had already taken out a power screwdriver and also wanted to take a brush cutter. Her father confronted him, and they got into a physical struggle. According to her mother, when the man tried to flee, she grabbed him by the hat, and he turned around and punched her in the face. That’s when 14-year-old Ana Clara stepped in, a white belt with just seven months of jiu-jitsu training. She approached from behind, applied a rear-naked choke, and held him on the ground for about 15 minutes until the police arrived. Her mother says the man lost consciousness twice, and that her father stayed right by the girl’s side, afraid the intruder might die. A neighbor’s security camera captured everything. The suspect was caught in the act.
