I 100% agree with this reading order! Assassins blade always first in TOG! I loved all 3 series but yes crescent city last series to read.

My preferred reading order: ACOTAR 1-3, TOG full series with AB FIRSTTT, ACOTAR 4-5, CC 1-3, ACOTAR 6.

I did ACOTAR then CC then TOG with AB 1st and tandem read my first time through. My reread I did TOG, ACOTAR, then CC.

Yeah the “have to read everything” thing is what dropped me. I read ACOTAR between CC2 and 3(which I believe is her best series by far), and HATED every second of ACOTAR. And having to read another one? Nah, I’ll pass. The Massverse ended with CC3 for me.

I read TOG first. Right after KOA came out. I’m old. Then I saw ACOTAR advertised on kindle and realized it was written by the same author. I was excited. At the time I didn’t read romance at all. Just fantasy and ya fantasy. Now I’m so deep in the rabbit hole I can’t get out. I’m a rereader. They all are amazing!

I’m glad to see the comments in here about assassins blade cause I’m a chronological reader and have been intimidated to start TOG cause some people are wild about not reading AB first but I think I need to for my brain lol

I am REALLY struggling with TOG. I have the last 3 to go before CC. As someone who also didn’t like TOG (you) are the last 3 better than the other books in the series. Yes, I fully intend to tandem read those 2. I’m just really not enjoying the series as a whole.

I’ve just started TOG series & im currently reading Crown of Midnight but I’m wishing I’d read AB first honestly. Mainly because I’m into the story & don’t wanna go back to where her story 1st began but at the same time I want to know her backstory 😬

I regret following numerous recommendations to read assassins blade 3rd. I wish I read it first. The major thing that happens would have affected me more. It was spoiled otherwise and didn’t mean much to me.

I’m so glad I read AB first because I think I would have enjoyed the series so much less had I put it anywhere else, and same goes for the tandem. It was an absolute must.
