I have a 3 week old and 2.5 year old who goes to daycare. I hand sanitize her hands as soon as she walks in or wash them and have her take her shoes off. I’m nervous tho going into the sick season with a newborn :/ I did get my flu and RSV vaccine while pregnant. Anything else you recommend with a toddler in daycare? Or if I were to get sick or a member of my family then what do I do? How do I protect my baby?

I had flu b in January-this was the first time I’ve ever had the flu and it was like a very mild cold thanks to my vaccine. Had I not tested I’d never would have guessed it was the flu.

I'm 56 and I've had the flu 3 times, I always get vaccinated now. My nephew was hospitalized when he was 8 and almost died from the flu.

Great messaging. I developed a sensitivity/anaphylaxis-like reaction to most vax in recent yrs & I always got my flu shot for others. It burns me that most do not do their part for public health. It’s ridiculous to lose 50k+ folks a year in the US alone bc people can’t do the basics like vax, 😷 & stay home. Talked to an elderly woman today who “nvr gets a flu shot” even as I told her my inability to protect myself😳 There’s a strange epidemic of lack of care & lack of seriousness when it comes to disease.

We got the flu and Covid vaccines in mid September and my 15yo caught the flu after going to the My Chemical Romance concert in Hollywood, on the 23rd and I tested her at home....flu A was positive and took her next day to see her pediatrician and got Tamiflu (she says you have to get that within 1st 2 days of symptoms) and now the cough is barely there and she's feeling much better.
