@onlineoptionswithkt: Sometimes the quiet moments make you think the loudest. ❤️ After all these years in nursing, I find myself thinking about how much of my life has revolved around a work schedule. And don't get me wrong. I'm grateful for the career I've had. But I'm also ready for a season of life where my family gets more of me than the time clock does. I'm not there yet. But I'm working toward it, one step at a time. Nurses, do you ever find yourself thinking the same thing? ❤️ #NurseLife #NurseBurnout #NursesOver50 #FamilyTime
Oh wow, we are truly of the same thoughts. I have been a nurse for about 36 years and the only reason I continue to do it is because I don’t know how to do anything else. I feel like I have relinquished my life to nonstop working for others who won’t probably remember me after they leave.

Sister you are my people. I absolutely love being a nurse, but it really took something from me. My life became only about the ED, the Preop, the Homehealth, the PACU. Somewhere along the way I lost me as a person and became a product of a healthcare system. I’m so thankful for the career and the financial stability. It came at a high price.
