im going to break down the characters because i feel like a lot of people dont really understand the depth of yuki and yuno. everyone saying the relationship was completely toxic, or that yuno was weird, are completely wrong. imagine you, and the love of your life were forced into a survival death game, and you both are the last ones alive. you guys dont want to kill each other so you each drink poison. yuno did not want yuki to die, so she thought becoming a god, and pretending to drink the poison, could bring him back. she wasnt able to do it so she went into a new world. with all of the knowledge of what happened previously, she knows the lives in this world ultimately do not truly matter to an extent, as the winner can just go into a reality where everyone lives. yuno only had yuki, which is why she went to such an extreme. if you were in yunos shoes, you would probably do the same exact thing, if it meant you would live with the love of your life in the next world.
