The filing comes amid ongoing financial and legal consequences from his involvement in a high-speed, multi-vehicle crash in Dallas in March 2024. Rice previously agreed to a $1 million settlement with one of the crash victims, but the woman's attorney says much of that money remains unpaid. The attorney also revealed that Rice's paychecks from the Chiefs have been garnished as part of efforts to recover the money owed.
