@jamesgetspolitical: A bike protest in Philadelphia targeting several restaurants has faced widespread condemnation from politicians and organizations in multiple states. When you dig into the details however, it’s pretty clear what’s actually going on here. #leftist #politics #philly #news #education
The huda burger guy wasnt fundraising for Israelis in occupied Palestine generally, but specifically for the Oct 7 survivors and victims families.
Opposing that fundraiser is "blocking aid to red states to punish their voters" levels of idiocy, and betrays the organizers animice.

Is there any reason it is so close to the anniversary of Kristalnacht? That is the only issue I would have?

Isn’t it free speech to protest Jewish businesses?

You lost me when you referred to United Hatzalah as supporting the military. That’s like boycotting someone for donating to the Red Cross. When you try to politicize EMS organizations for daring to provide emergency medical services to people you disagree with you’re in the realm of dehumanizing.

i truly have only heard of this ride from the people denouncing it. i haven’t heard about it in any leftist or cycling spaces. it’s kind of a Streisand effect thing.

In the “50 States One Israel” legislative summit in Israel where over 250 state-level legislators attended, the main goal was to maintain the anti-BDS legislation that exists in most states. Do you really think that they haven’t placed Zionists in the BDS groups? OFC they have. This is why these unconstitutional laws still exist. Idk why no one else sees what is so clearly obvious.

Thank you for talking about and standing up for the cyclists! The amount of hatred, attempted doxxing, and threatened violence from the Zionist crowd has been terrifying.

many of the people supporting the protest are, in fact, Jewish themselves. I've watched my pro-palestine Jewish friends face some absolute vile anti-Semitic comments from zionists for not supporting Israel.

I’m saying it would have been a normal boycott. But look at how the media responded. Look at how they prepared to respond. The statements after were clear. The sane victim card BS… Was there any statements in FAVOR of the boycott? In the media? Ofc not.

I appreciate the deep dive and i agree with the individual boycotts, but boy this is a bad look. I don’t think as pro Palestinian activists we should be cowed by allegations of antisemitism… but the optics of this arent good. I think a flyer in which you cross out Jewish businesses is in bad taste, regardless of whatever context is behind it. And being on the eve of kristalnacht is careless and just fuels the fire

By that logic nobody can ever protest Israeli because there are dark days everyday for the Jewish people in history

Look, I support the Solomonov boycott, but the Schlesinger’s and MacMart ones took digging all the way back to Oct 2023. It isn’t exactly clear that the Schlesinger’s fundraiser in Oct 2023 went to that IOF unit, that’s one of the things the JFed fund in question is now in 2026 giving $ to. It very much seems like organizers of this just looked at known Jewish businesses and went digging to find anything Israel-related. That’s way different from Solomonov who is naming restaurants Jaffa and being the official culinary ambassador of Israel.
