the whole voting system in america confuses me, in Australia we are legally required to vote, we have to pay a fine if we dont. the government already knows where we live, theyre just confirming we are who we say we are and confirming what they already have on file???

yup! VA voter here, there is a box to check on the registration form if you have a privacy concern and want to use a PO box instead. super simple.
