@choose.your.horiz: Just because alcohol hasn't caused your life to fall apart doesn't mean it isn't affecting your quality of life. You can be successful at work, take care of your family, pay your bills, and still have a relationship with alcohol that leaves you feeling exhausted, anxious, or frustrated with yourself. And that's something we don't talk about nearly enough. There's a difference between functioning and thriving. You don't have to lose your job, damage your relationships, or hit some imaginary rock bottom before deciding you'd like to feel better. Sometimes the question isn't whether alcohol is ruining your life. It's whether your life could be better with less of it. And that's a perfectly good reason to make a change.
